My research focuses on plain language, government writing, and technical communication for diverse stakeholders. I am the author of over 50 scholarly works—including seven books and edited collections as well as peer-reviewed articles in leading venues such as IEEE Transactions on Professional Communication, Technical Communication Quarterly, Journal of Business and Technical Communication, Journal of Technical Writing and Communication, Technical Communication, and Programmatic Perspectives.
